5 minutes with… A Visual Merchandiser
We enjoy finding great people a job they can love, helping some brilliant companies complete their team in the process. From the person that served you a coffee this morning, to the Uber driver that took you home last night, we love finding out what people love about their job. Here’s the first of our ‘5 minutes with…’ interviews, where we spoke to Visual Merchandiser, Milly Talbot-Dunn.
Q: How long have you been a Visual Merchandiser?
A: 21 years, 6 years freelance.
Q: How did you get into this job?
A: I pestered the display manager in Harrods to take me on with no previous experience! I started at the very bottom as a junior dresser. It was an apprenticeship really, a great place to start!
Q: What do you love most about the job?
A: I’m in a different location most of the time and meet a lot of new contacts. I get to see some amazing venues and countries!
Q: What did you think you wanted to do when you were younger?
A: A photographer or a Stylist.
Q: What would you be doing if you weren’t doing this job?
A: I would love to have an art gallery.
